Application Process

Please watch our Helpful Hints video in order to make your application process as easy as possible.

  1. For new organizations, please watch our new user tutorial video and complete the new user login. The system is not compatible with Internet Explorer. Please use Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Safari as your browser. Please note that if your organization does not fit giving guidelines, your user account may be declined.  For returning organizations or those named as a beneficiary of the Charles A. Cannon Charitable Trusts, please login to the portal.

  2. Login, complete and submit an online Request for Application (RFA). RFA forms are accepted beginning five weeks before the RFA deadline. RFA forms provide staff preliminary information about your organization and proposed request.

  3. Once the RFA form has been submitted the Cannon Charitable Interests staff will review it. If staff review determines that your project fits within the guidelines, an email will be sent to the appropriate contacts with the link to the online application. The staff review process may take several business days.

  4. Submit the online grant application and all required documents as soon as they are completed but no later than the grant deadline.

**Notification of grant decisions will be emailed to the applicant and Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director or President approximately 12 to 14 weeks after each deadline date.
